To help your liver’s ability to produce glucose and process insulin, try this:

Get more sleep.

Sleep deprivation has been associated with a higher risk of Type 2 Diabetes. However researchers wondered if that’s because tired individuals were prone to eat more and move less, which increased risk, or if it was from the sleep deprivation itself.

Turns out blood glucose levels were higher in mice that were sleep deprived than in the group that was allowed to sleep when desired.
