Should your goals hold you back?

I’ve had a few instances lately where I intentionally hold myself back. It’s not that I don’t like working hard…oh, I do. I love the feeling of my hands on my knees and breathing hard and knowing I gave it everything I have.

But…

I also know my body has different limits than even five years ago. And if I push it to full power, there’s a chance something goes wrong.

In today’s solo episode I share a message that’s been burning in me for a while.

If you take nothing else, know this: you have permission to back off…espcially if it helps you reach your long term toals.

I discuss:

  • The different kinds of goals we have
  • Considerations to meet those goals
  • My thoughts on closing those rings on your Apple Watch and other fitness trackers (with a few embarrassing stories to go with it.)
