My solution to sweaty situations – watch this video

God had a strange sense of humor when he moved me and my family to the Houston, Texas area. See, he gave me this amazing cooling system that works waaaaay too well. That system also kicks in anytime I’m amped up – excited, nervous, heck, even just talking. It also gives the appearance I’ve exercised harder than I have.

That system? Sweat.

Apparently, God likes to see me sweat.

Unfortunately, the first place to show signs of moisture is under my arms. I stopped wearing antiperspirant years ago because it truly did not provide any benefits.  Deodorant helps keep offensive odors at bay but it doesn’t disguise the problem. (Side note: I’m pretty sure my mother is horrified at this discussion right now. Sorry, mom.)

My best solution? Sleeveless shirts. Sure, I could throw a blazer over my tops, but that’s not conducive to 80-plus percent humidity and high temperatures we have most of the year.

Dresses, tanks, professional tops – all worn most of the year and all bare my entire arm.

If I’m going to showcase my arms for eight months of the year, they better look decent. I’ve mentioned before I’m blessed with good arm genetics, but I also work hard for them. And if you’ve been to my classes, you know what a fan of push-ups I am.

If you’re gearing up for warmer weather (and sleeveless tops), check out the eight-minute video below. Then wear your bare arms with pride … even if there’s moisture under them.

You’ll need heavier weights for biceps, lighter weights for shoulders and triceps, and a chair to elevate yourself.
